The tech took a call from a distraught customer who had a broken or cracked sewer pipe. The customer wanted to see if the pipe could be repaired without having to dig or excavate the property. The customer’s only concern was that the lawn was well manicured and they just did not want to dig it up. They knew the pipe ran out under the lawn to the city sewer in the street. According to the customer, it was only about 55 feet long, however, they were very frustrated with the backups inside the downstairs bathroom. So after hearing this, the tech agreed to go and visit the property and take a look. He brought a sewer video camera to see what the problem was inside the pipe. Upon inspection, he could tell the customer had terracotta pipes and the pipe itself was starting to break down and that was the primary cause for the backups. After the inspection he informed the customer that repairing the broken sewer pipe liner would be a good candidate for the trenchless repair system. The customer was delighted to hear the news and agreed to have the work done asap.

When the work was started the customer invited her brother in law over, as he lived two blocks away and he too started to suffer from backups of raw sewage. The tech went to work and begin to repair the line by inserting an epoxy coated lining into the pipe and then ran an air bladder to inflate the liner against the old, host pipe. Once this cured in place the customer had a brand new, 100% fully rehabilitated sewer pipe line. The customer was very happy with the results and her brother in law agreed to have the work done as well.
