What is trenchless sewer repair?

Trenchless sewer repair fixes or replaces a broken sewer line through small access points instead of digging a trench across your property. Rather than excavating your yard, driveway, or floor, a specialist repairs the pipe from the inside or pulls a new one through the existing path. For most homes the work is done in a day or two, at a lower total cost than a traditional dig-up, with your landscaping left intact.

The two main methods

  • Pipe lining (CIPP): a resin liner is inserted into the old pipe and cured in place, forming a new pipe inside the old one — best for pipes that are cracked or leaking but still in one piece.
  • Pipe bursting: a new pipe is pulled through the old one while a bursting head breaks the old pipe outward — best when the old pipe is collapsed or needs upsizing.

How the job starts

Before any work begins, a specialist runs a camera down your line to see the exact problem — a root intrusion, a crack, a collapse, or a bellied section. That camera inspection, along with your estimate, is always free from our contractors. You will know what is wrong and what it costs before you decide anything.

Is trenchless always the answer?

Usually — but not always. If a line is fully collapsed with no path to pull a new pipe through, or access genuinely requires digging, a specialist will tell you so honestly. The free camera inspection is what settles it: no guessing, no pressure.
